Summer of Awesome: Rodez and road-trip
I went to visit one of my best friends in Rodez and we went on a road trip to Sète and to a lake closer to her home.
Sète is beautiful. I went swimming in the sea. It was breezy and lovely. We spent the night in a campsite in Amanda's tent. It was lovely.
We drove north towards a lake closer to home. It was hot and sunny, and we passed by the vineyards surrounding the lake.
There were also these amazing rocky mounds that people had taken to writing messages on. They mostly seemed like love messages. We wrote a couple ourselves... (Mine says 2 a+d meaning 2 years for anna and domi. Domi and I were in France to celebrate our 2nd wedding anniversary and have our European wedding party. :))
There was also this weird, random, and very neat abandoned town. I thought it was some sort of ancient thing, but it is very much a modern walled in town that was abandoned about 20 or 30 years ago or some such. Weird, right?
And then there was the food... typical of Aveyron, the region in which one finds Rodez. Good food. That's all I'm saying.
