Spain was wonderful. For our last dinner in Spain my mom and I went to a really good and surprisingly inexpensive place called Ginger... if you're ever in Madrid, it is at metro Sol-ish. It had very cool interior decorating.
We got home late, around midnight and I didn't go to sleep until one... and then we had to wake up at 7am. We took a taxi and my mom's plane was at 11:30 so I dropped her off then went to find my check-in place. My plane wasn't until 13:30 so I had a couple of hours to wander the airport and make some key duty-free purchases. I was already tired at that point... but I knew that that evening was my big concert with my so-called band...
After the flight and struggling with the RER and lugging my dirty clothes home, I arrived to a dirty apartment and called my bandmate who said they were just then headed for the bar and when would I be there? I literally jumped in the shower, didn't even wash my hair and flew out the door. The order of the songs had been changed but that didn't matter so much as the fact that the second song was one I sang and didn't (and DON'T!) know the words to... It worked out, though. We had the words on a sheet of paper and I faked it pretty well.
The concert was really fun and there are amazing pictures by a friend on facebook. I'm very happy with it all.
I was, however, exhausted once the concert was over. I went home and slept.
I've been packing ever since.
Eep!
