Soccer
I started playing soccer again. Unfortunately, at the second or third practice I pulled my quad...
Fortunately I'm doing better so I'm playing again. :D
Our first game is Sunday. I play goalie.
Wee.

My favorite blog
My favorite blog is by a woman named Meg(han). She seems like a lovely lady.
I've followed her since 2007. I'm drawn to the Montessorian and the crafter.
I watch her in awe. I feel tiny twinges of jealousy when I see how much she's done and with what grace and patience.
Then I feel inspired and chastise myself for being so silly as to think I should feel jealous. I must embrace what she has done and what she can teach me! I tell myself.
It works sometimes.

My room is looking lovely. We had it painted and it's all growed up now. Things seem like they will soon be calm and peaceful. (Right now we're still setting the room up, since we don't really have our own bed and this bed is in the process of being sold...)
In any case, it's a room meant to be used to relax and create and enjoy. I'm happy with it.
Voila!

Spiders
I've never been afraid of spiders. I'm currently creeped out by Suriname Toads (and that's quite a story), but spiders are totally manageable.
I think people get freaked out by the idea that they could *die* because of such a little creature. The thing is, the more I read about it, the less I believe that. I'm by far no expert, but it appears that so-called 'deadly' spiders are not quite that. Only in extreme cases will they cause death, and I'm thinking that you'd probably have to have something else going on in order for that to happen (allergies, lowered immune system, previous illness, etc)
Again, I'm no expert, but spiders are so useful. I've always had an appreciation of them, especially in light of the fact that they hunt flies and ants - insects that really bug me. :P

And I'm back
I'm not sure how regular this will become (if at all) but I was re-reading ye olde blog and realizing that I have a few wee things I want to share once again.
To summarize the past (nearly) 2 years would be ridiculous so I'll just do a couple of extreme bullet points.
-married Domi
-got dream job
-saving up for a house
There. That's good.

In other news, this is what I come home to. Domi likes to get Teddy ready for bed when I'm already on my way to work. I come home to find that he has napped the entire day away, sitting pretty as you see in the picture. Ridiculous.
I love my husband.
That's all for now. Wonky first blog back, but hey... whatevah.
